Who We Are...

Chi Alpha_Full Color_Logo.png

2 Corinthians 5:20

"We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God"

Chi Alpha stands for Christos Apostolos, Which stands for Christ Ambassadors. We want to be Jesus to people wherever we go, whether it be on the campus, in the marketplace, or across the globe, Jesus is for everyone.

What is our mission?

Know God, Love People, Pass it on...

Matthew 22:34-40

34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 ‘Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: ‘“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”[c] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”[d] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.’

Simply Put: We Love God, and Love People

1 John 4:8

“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”

To Love God, we must Love People, and to Love God we must Know Him!

John 21:17

The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my sheep.”

Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship is focused on transforming our world, locally and around the globe. We strive to be multicultural. We experience the supernatural. We work hard to learn from and join with international students. We see that faith and thinking are related!

The 3 Reals in more details:

Real Devotional Life: Spending time with God simply because he is worth spending time with. Relationships are built through time spent together and we want to spend time building a relationship with God. This relationship enables us to speak from our hearts when talking to people about Jesus and what he means to us. Love God

Real Community: Spending time with each other because God never meant for us to walk this life out alone. In fact, he commanded us to “Love one another. As I have loved you,” (John 13:34). Jesus laid down his life for us because he loved us. We ought to lay down our lives for each other, whether it be helping someone out with homework, taking someone to the hospital, or buying someone’s dinner whether they need us to or not. Love People

Real Responsibility: Spending time reaching the lost or taking care of those in need. We connect like this in multiple ways. Sometimes it plays out in planned evangelism on campus through surveys or other tools and events to share the good news of Jesus Christ and what he has done for us on the cross. Sometimes it comes in the form of partnering with other non-profit organizations to help meet the need of individuals across the world, whether it be disaster relief or alleviating hunger. Either way, our goal is not to just say that we love (although that’s important) but to show that “with actions and in truth.” (1 John 3:18)
